What are Risk Signals?

A Risk Signal is a cybersecurity concern that could leave a business at risk.

It's an indication of a threat that has been derived from several sources. A company may have thousands of issues that expose them to a hacking event. However, many of these issues are of minor relevance. A Risk Signal consolidates a large volume of data into a single observation which we know indicates a company could be compromised.

Breach Check will identify potentially hundreds or thousands of cyber risk issues during a scan with our various modules. These issues include specific vulnerabilities, hacker chatter, open services, etc, that make a company vulnerable to cyber risks.

To make all of this information easier to understand, DynaRisk groups these cyber risk issues and turns them into Risk Signals.

For example, our scan may find 100 vulnerabilities in a company; however, the severity of these vulnerabilities may not be highly correlated to a company getting hacked. As a result, these vulnerabilities are grouped together into one Risk Signal.
