What is an Info Stealer?

Created by Charley Downey, Modified on Fri, 22 Mar at 12:07 PM by Charley Downey

Info Stealers are a type of malware designed to extract sensitive information, such as clear text passwords, website cookies, and other data, from compromised PCs and phones. They often cover their tracks to avoid detection. By stealing website cookies, Info Stealers provide hackers with the ability to bypass two-step or multi-factor authentication technologies to break into customer and employee-accessible web portals.
